Thanks to being friends with bassist Toni Pihlaja, in 2004 I got commisioned to make electronic intros and interludes for the grindcore band Rotten Sound's album "Exit".
I did some experimenting with digital and analog noise, ambience and samples and handed out two dozen short pieces for vocalist Keijo Niinimaa and producer Mieszko Talarczyk to play with. A track called “Sähkösaatana” (#9) stood out from the pile of dull buzzes and hisses, and ended up to be the basis for "Exit"’s intro. Also two snippets (#17, #19) from an unknown random religious radio program were used on "Mass Suicide".
Later I collected these mostly unused scraps as a micro-album, and titled the whole lot as Sähkösaatana. An edition of fewer than 50 copies of 3" mini cdr were made in 2006.
If someone should care, the flow of the album suffers a bit because of gaps added by the site between the songs when streamed. If you're weird like me with tiny details, download for listening.
